St. James is one of Winnipeg's most practical places to live, and I mean that as a compliment. It's central, it's well connected, and it offers some of the best value you'll find in an established part of the city. It covers areas like Deer Lodge, Silver Heights, Jameswood and Booth, among others.
A lot of the housing here is post-war bungalows and storey-and-a-half homes, many of which have been nicely updated. They're often on decent-sized lots with garages, which is a big win in a Winnipeg winter.
You're close to CF Polo Park, the airport and major routes like Portage Avenue, so commuting just about anywhere is easy. And with the Grace Hospital right in the neighbourhood, healthcare is close to home.
